The Jaltest JDC529A connects the 7-pin round diagnostic connector of Claas combine harvesters and the Xerion range to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the machine side, there is a compact chrome-plated metal connector with knurled nut and seven gold-plated pins: six arranged in a circle around one centre pin. The lead measures 28 to 30 cm and the cable is specified for the Jaltest Link V8.1.
Through this connection, Jaltest equipment accesses the machine network and thus the full harvest machine diagnostics. In addition to engine controls — the Caterpillar units and the MR unit pump system — and the engine interface ADM 2 / ADM 3 you can also reach the units of the threshing process itself: The sieve control SAM, the rotor shutters RTR, the spreader RSM and the yield measurement YMM. How many of these are present varies considerably by model: a MEGA has only ADM 2/3, the MR engine control and SCR, whilst a LEXION has around twenty units. The cable falls under Jaltest AGV (agricultural vehicles).

Applications and functionality
Via this 7-pin connection, you can access the control units of the combine harvester or the Xerion using Jaltest software. Which units are present varies considerably depending on the model series and year of manufacture: a MEGA has a handful, whilst a LEXION has over twenty. The control units listed below are included in Jaltest's Claas coverage.
Control units you can access
- Central computer ADM 2 and ADM 3: The interface between the machine control and the engine.
- Central computer VBM and XIF: The on-board computers of the combine harvester and Xerion respectively.
- Engine management MR, unit pump system: The Mercedes-based engine control with unit pump system.
- Engine management ECM Caterpillar 3126 B, C-6.6, C-9, C-9.3 and C-13 (CDL and J1939): The Caterpillar engine controls for LEXION and Xerion models.
- Transmission EHS, GDM, TCU and VDC: The drive transmission and transmission control.
- Harvesting system ACU, SAM (sieve control), RTR (rotor vanes), RSM (spreader), GUA (grain tank valves) and YMM (yield measurement): The control units for the threshing process.
- Exhaust aftertreatment SCR/DEF and SCR Bluetec: The AdBlue systems on newer machines.
- Control ATP (GPS-based auto-guidance) and ESM (electro-hydraulic steering): The steering and auto-guidance systems.
- Hydraulics EHC (lift control) and HYD (control panel valves), electronic module OPM (armrest control) and EXT, and lighting WLP: Other units of the Xerion and combine harvesters.

- View measurement values: The current sensor readings monitored by the control unit, with the ability to set alarm thresholds.
- Check service intervals: Available on Caterpillar engine management systems and SCR Bluetec systems, among others.
- View diagnostic warnings: Available on ADM 2 interfaces and MR engine management systems, among others.
- Perform additional functions: Available on SCR Bluetec exhaust aftertreatment systems.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model.This cable fits any Claas combine harvester and Xerion equipped with the 7-pin round diagnostic connector in the cab. The series listed below are covered by Jaltest AGV; within the same series, an 8-pin version is also available, as agriculture has never adopted a standardised connector specification.
