\nThe Jaltest JDC121A9 is the CAN configuration for the flat 3-pin connection of a Carrier refrigeration unit and terminates in a 16-pin OBD2-connector. The connector on the device side is distinguished by the red pole holder with yellow sealing in a black housing; the JDC115.9 has in the same location a fully blackstekker and terminates in a 26-pin Sub-D connector. Behind the OBD2 connector, this cable also splits intotwo branches: One to the refrigeration unit and one short to a round power connector for external power supply. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm.\n
The official product page refers to this cable as "Carrier diagnostic cable, CAN"; the JDC115.9 is listed there without that designation. Through this connection, the equipment accesses the refrigeration unit's control system and thereby theMAXIMA/ULTRA, the VECTOR and the VECTOR 1350. Jaltest retrieves there fault codes, measured values and ECU data on, supplemented with the VECTOR 1350 maintenance data. Applications and functionality
Using this connection, you can access the control unit of the Carrier refrigeration unit on the refrigerated trailer or semi-trailer, and not the engine management of the tractor for this. The units listed below are compatible with Jaltest refrigerated transport coverage. According to the regulations, it specifies which fault codes, measured values and ECU data the equipment retrieves and where the maintenance data are available.

- Carrier MAXIMA/ULTRA: Refrigeration unit control, including fault codes, measured values and ECU data.
- Carrier VECTOR: Refrigeration unit control, including fault codes, measured values and ECU data.
- Carrier VECTOR 1350: Same readout, supplemented with maintenance data.
What you can do
- Read fault codes: Query and clear the fault memory of the refrigeration unit control after repair.
- View measured values: Current readings from sensors and pressure transducers, with an alert if any value falls outside the specified range.
- Consult maintenance data: For the Carrier VECTOR 1350, view service intervals and generate a service report.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector on the refrigeration unit is what matters, not the trailer brand underneath. This cable is compatible with the flat 3-pin connection of Carrier in the CAN configuration, identified by the red terminal holder with yellow sealing . Refrigeration units have never been subject to a standardised diagnostic connector requirement, so the year of manufacture of the trailer tells you nothing about the connector type.
