The Jaltest JDC660M is the key programming cable for Sea-Doo watercraft from BRP. One end features a round 4-pin connector with a blue threaded coupling and four gold-plated pins in a black pin holder; the other end has a black round key post with a chromed outer ring and a central pin onto which the key is placed. At 90.5 to 94.5 cm in length, this cable is more than three times longer than the diagnostic cable JDC602A, which measures 28 to 30 cm.
Where a diagnostic cable opens the diagnostic line to the control units to read and manage faults, this cable provides access to the path through which key codes are read and written to the MPEM, the multiplex module in which Sea-Doo houses the engine immobiliser. With this cable, you can pair a new or replacement key with the watercraft and remove a lost key from memory — work that you cannot perform with a standard diagnostic cable, because the key itself must be presented to the system. Fault codes and measured values are not retrieved via this route; that is what the JDC602A is for. Cojali releases the cable for Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9; it falls under Jaltest Marine.

Applications and functionality
Through this connection you programme with the Jaltest software the keys of the Sea-Doo waterscooter. The start blockingallows the engine to run only with a key stored in memory, and that memory is precisely what you access with this cable. Below unit and functions are included in the Marine coverage of Jaltest.
Control units you can access
- MPEM — multiplex module: The module where Sea-Doo stores key and system data, and where keys are programmed.
What you can do
- Programme keys: What this cable is designed for — record the code of the supplied key in the MPEM.
- Pair a replacement key: For an ordered or new key, so the watercraft recognises it.
- Deactivate a lost key: Remove it from memory so it can no longer start the engine.
- Compatible with both interface generations: The cable works with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable is for the round 4-pin connector with the blue coupling ring; the 6-pin grey connector in the engine bay is the diagnostic connector of the JDC602A. If you need both fault diagnosis and key programming capabilities, you will need both cables. The ranges listed below are covered by Jaltest Marine.
