The Jaltest JDC539A connects compact Bobcat machines to your Jaltest equipment and splits into two round connectors on the machine side. The first branch features sockets behind a distinctive blue sealing ring; the second branch is its counterpart, with pins in a smooth black housing. On the interface side, the cable terminates in the 16-pin OBD2 connector and measures 38.5 to 41.5 cm.
Midway along the cable sits a black intermediate connector with a switch in two positions, marked O and I. From there, the Jaltest software reaches the machine computer GATEWAY, the electronic modules ACS and SJC, the drive unit DRIVE, the hydraulic control AUX, the engine controllers DL02 and DM02 and the E-CDIS Kubota, the aftertreatment control DCU and the instrument cluster LHP. With the latter, coverage is limited to measured values and ECU data; fault codes are not included. The cable falls under Jaltest OHW.

Applications and functionality
Via the dual connector, Jaltest software accesses both the machine systems and the engine control unit of the Bobcat. Which units are present varies by model range and specification. The list below is taken from the Bobcat coverage, showing for each unit the features available there.
Control units you can access
- GATEWAY, central machine computer: The main computer of the skid steer and compact track loaders.
- ACS and SJC, electronic modules: The controls for operation and joystick management.
- DRIVE, propulsion: The control unit for the drive system.
- AUX, auxiliary hydraulics: The regulation of supplementary hydraulics for attachments.
- DL02 (CAN) and DM02 (CAN), engine control units: Bobcat's own engine management systems.
- E-CDIS Kubota, electronic diesel control with common rail injection: The engine management for Kubota blocks, with additional functions in the coverage.
- DCU, exhaust aftertreatment: The control of the aftertreatment system on machines equipped with it.
- LHP, instrument panel: The display from which you read measurement values and ECU data.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit, including fault descriptions.
- View measurement values: The current readings from connected sensors, displayed as figures and graphs.
- Consult maintenance information: The service intervals and work performed on the machine, with a service report.
- Perform additional functions: The extra procedures per control unit. Available on these machines for the E-CDIS Kubota.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type is what matters, not the model. This cable fits any compact Bobcat with the dual 6+6-pin connection, identified by the blue sealing ring on one half. Compact machines were never subject to OBD requirements, so the year of manufacture is not a reliable indicator here; check the connection on the machine itself before ordering.
