\nThe Jaltest JDC10AM2 is the power supply cable with battery clamps. The power supply end features two crocodile clips, one red and a black, with chrome-plated jaws and an insulated grip. The other end terminates in a right-angle DC connector that attach to the Jaltest Link V8.1 or V9 goes. With 595 to 605 cm this is the longest of the four power cables.\n
\nBecause the clamps directly onto the battery terminals go, this version also works on machines without power outlet connection and without agricultural connector. This is where it differs from the JDC20AM2, the JDC30AM2 and the JDC60AM2, which all three require an existing connection. The JDC10AM2 comes standard in the multipin kits 70002001, 70002002 and 70002007. It is a power supply cable and no diagnostic cable: It does not establish a connection to a control unit by itself.\n

Applications and functionality
Apower supply cable provides the Jaltest Link its own power supply, so the interface is not dependent on the diagnostic connection of the vehicle. The JDC10AM2 is the version with two crocodile clips that connect directly to the battery terminals go, with 595 to 605 cm the longest of the four. It is not a diagnostic cable: It does not establish a connection to a control unit by itself.
What you use a power cable for
Not every diagnostic connector supplies power to the interface. A power cable solves that:
- If the diagnostic connector provides no voltage: The Link receives its power this way.
- With standalone systems: Think of setups where you are not connected to the vehicle's main diagnostic port.
- On the workbench: You can power the interface without a vehicle connected.
What you receive
A black cable on a roll, with two crocodile clamps on one end and an angled DC plug with a chrome-plated sleeve on the other. The clamps feature a steel jaw with a serrated profile and a plastic grip in red and black so you can distinguish positive from negative. The DC plug is angled to the cable, keeping it flush against the interface. The cable contains no switch and no indicator light.
What you also need
- A Jaltest Link: V8.1 or V9.
- The diagnostic cable for your vehicle or system: This makes the actual connection.
- Access to the battery terminals: The clamps must be able to sit loosely.
The four power cables side by side
All four power the same interface. The difference lies in the location where you draw the power from:
- JDC10AM2, battery clamps: A red and a black crocodile clamp connected directly to the battery terminals, 595 to 605 cm.
- JDC20AM2, cigarette lighter socket: A lighter plug for the cabin, 195 to 205 cm.
- JDC30AM2, agricultural connector: An adapter measuring 28 to 30 cm with a round 3-pin agricultural plug on one end and a lighter socket on the other.
- JDC60AM2, USB-A: A USB-A plug for laptop, power bank or USB charger, 153 cm.
The JDC10AM2, the JDC20AM2 and the JDC60AM2 terminate in the same right-angle DC plug and connect directly to the interface. The JDC30AM2 differs: it terminates in a lighter socket and therefore fits onto the lighter plug of the JDC20AM2.
