The Jaltest Marine adapter cable set Inboard (70002009) contains 8 cables that connect the proprietary diagnostic connector of an inboard marine engine to your Jaltest diagnostic cable. The set covers three brands: Volvo Penta with 3 connectors, Mercury with 4 and Yanmar with 1.
An inboard engine or sterndrive is installed in the hull. From Volvo Penta, the 6-pin, the EGCI and the 2-pin connector are included in this set. The 8-pin Volvo Penta connector (JDC528A) is included in the set for stationary engines, 70002006. For Mercury, the range runs from the older MEFI control system to SmartCraft G3. The cables fall under Jaltest Marine.

Applications and functionality
Each cable in this set converts a proprietary diagnostic connector to the standard connector of the Jaltest Link. What you can do afterwards is determined by the Jaltest software and the coverage table for that engine.

How to use it
- Check the connector: Look at the engine to see which connector is fitted.
- Choose the cable: Take the cable that matches that connector.
- Connect: To your diagnostic cable, via the JDC100B if necessary.
- Start the software: Open Jaltest on the PC and connect the Link.
- Read out: Select brand and engine in Jaltest Marine.
Compatible vehicles and applications
What matters is the engine, not the boat. An inboard engine is installed as a separate drive, so the same diagnostic connector appears in hulls from various boatyards.
