The Jaltest JDCOBD6 is an adapter that bridges a non-standard 16-pin OBD2 connector to the standard 16-pin OBD2 cable of the Jaltest Link. You connect the converter between the vehicle's diagnostic socket and the Link's OBD2 cable. This unit converts the older SAE J1850 PWM and VPW protocols to CAN; without this conversion, the interface cannot establish a connection because the signals are not on the expected pins.
This enables communication with vehicles that lack CAN connectivity, giving you full diagnostic access within Jaltest software: read and clear fault codes, view live data, control actuators and — depending on the vehicle system and coverage — perform maintenance and calibration procedures. The converter preserves all signals required for comprehensive diagnostics. It is used within Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).
