The Jaltest 29051300 is the update licence for Jaltest Modular Bus, the modular diagnostic solution for coaches and tour buses. It extends an existing licence by twelve months. This product is intended for users who already have the module in use.
With the extension, you'll maintain twelve months' access to new software versions, including the vehicles, systems and features released that year. If you don't renew, the module becomes locked. If you don't yet own the module, start with the software licence (293300), as this includes your first year of use.

Applications and functionality
Jaltest Modular Bus is the bus module within the modular system. This renewal keeps that module active. What you do with it subsequently depends on the vehicle and the cable you use.
What you can do with it
- System scan: View all control units present and see where faults are logged.
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory per control unit, with fault descriptions.
- Measured values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real-time.
- Component control: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring to it.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system.
- Maintenance resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.

Modular works by vehicle type. If you also work on other vehicles, you add the corresponding licence.

What you need
To perform diagnostics with Jaltest Modular Bus, you need more than this product. The complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
- Software licence (293300): The module with the first year of use included.
- Update licence (29051300): This product. Twelve months' extension from the second year onwards.
- Adapter cables, only if needed: Buses have a 16-pin diagnostic connection; adapters are required only for older models.
Optional add-ons
- INFO Plus for Modular Bus (70605043): Wiring diagrams and guided repair processes. Each modular licence has its own INFO Plus.
- OEM Module (29469): Select by system manufacturer instead of vehicle brand. You might choose Wabco, for example, then the system type such as brakes, air suspension, TPMS or safety systems. This works for vehicle conversions and custom builds and for vehicles not listed in the model catalogue. The module covers thirty-eight system manufacturers.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working module there are four steps. The serial number of your Jaltest Link is all you need to find yourself.
- Provide the serial number: Include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the notes field when you place your order; this is required.
- We activate: We link the renewal to that serial number, usually within one working day of your order.
- Confirmation by email: You will hear from us as soon as the module is on your serial number.
- Update software: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and fetch the module; Modular Bus will then appear in the start menu.
