The Jaltest 70605041 is the software licence for Spare Parts Search, the add-on module that lets you look up the original part number within Jaltest Diagnostics using the vehicle identification number. You receive a vehicle breakdown, exploded diagrams, part description and location, and the OE order number you use to actually order the part.
Spare Parts Search operates on a credit system rather than unlimited searching: one credit covers one vehicle identification number and remains open for twelve hours, so returning to the same vehicle doesn't cost you a second credit. This product includes seven hundred credits, valid for one year. That works out to roughly fourteen vehicles per week, or nearly three per working day over a fifty-week working year. You can see how many credits remain in the My Account section of the Jaltest software.

What is Spare Parts Search?
Between identifying what's broken and ordering the correct part there's often more time spent than between the fault complaint and diagnosis. Spare Parts Search streamlines that process: You enter the vehicle identification number and work from the vehicle breakdown through to the exploded diagram and the original part number. It all happens within the same interface as your diagnostics, so you don't need to switch between programmes.
Suitable for which workshops
Workshops that order parts daily and make parts lookup a standard part of their workshop planning.
What it is not
- No diagnostics: The module doesn't read fault codes and doesn't control any functions. Your diagnostic licence handles that.
- No webshop and no price lists: You find the original part number and component location; ordering is done through your supplier.
- No free searching: The module operates on a fixed number of annual credits that you can monitor yourself.
What you can look up
Part data comes from YQ and OEM sources. You navigate from general to specific for each vehicle.
- Search by vehicle identification number: When you're at the vehicle, Jaltest reads the VIN automatically; if you're not, you type it in.
- Vehicle breakdown: The structure broken down by section, so you navigate from system to component.
- Exploded diagrams: Components drawn apart, showing their relative positions.
- Description and location: What the component is and where it sits in the vehicle.
- The original part number: The OE reference you order by, not a description in an email.
- Build a purchase list: Gather the parts you need before you order.
Which vehicles are covered
Coverage grows with each software version; below are the manufacturers currently in the module.
- Trucks: DAF, Hyundai, Isuzu, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Scania and Volvo.
- Buses: Hyundai, Isuzu, MAN, Scania and Volvo.
- Light commercial vehicles: Iveco, Kia and Mercedes-Benz.
How the credits work
This is where the two versions differ, so it's worth understanding how it counts.
- One credit is one vehicle identification number: Not one part and not one search.
- Open for twelve hours: Within that window you can return to the same vehicle without using another credit.
- A different language counts again: If you search the same vehicle identification number in another language, it costs another credit.
- Your balance is shown in the software: In the My Account section you see how many credits remain.
- They expire afterwards: Unused credits do not carry over into the following year.

What you need
Spare Parts Search is an add-on to your diagnostic software and does not operate independently. The complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
- An active Jaltest licence: Jaltest CV, Truck Select or Modular Truck. The module operates within that licence.
- The module itself (70605041): This product, with seven hundred accesses for one year.
- The chassis number: If you are at the vehicle, Jaltest reads it automatically; otherwise you enter it manually.

How to get access
From order to the first chassis number there are four steps. The serial number of your Jaltest Link is the only detail you need to locate yourself.
- Provide the serial number: Include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the notes field when you place your order; this is required.
- We activate it: We link the module to that serial number, usually within one working day after your order.
- Confirmation by email: You will hear from us as soon as the module is on your serial number.
- Update software: Launch Jaltest Diagnostics and retrieve the module; afterwards Spare Parts Search will appear in the menu and you will see your balance under My Account.
