The Jaltest JDC549.9 is the diagnostic cable that connects the 4-pin diagnostic connector of JLG and Haulotte aerial work platforms and telehandlers to the Jaltest Link. On the machine side, the 4-pin connector is located on JLG units behind the battery cover next to the control panel at ground level; on the interface side, a 26-pin DB26 plug connects directly into the Jaltest Link, eliminating the need for a separate 16-pin adapter cable.
The cable opens the diagnostic line to the hydraulic control and engine control systems of the machine. On the hydraulic side, this includes HYDRAULICS from JLG scissor lifts and HYDRAULICS (CAN) from Haulotte aerial platforms; on the engine side, Deutz controls EMR2 through EMR5, Kubota E-CDIS, Kohler controls, and EControls ECM 4G from gasoline and LPG models. The full feature set is available with scissor lifts; on larger JLG boom lifts, HYDRAULICS is available without supported functions. This cable falls under Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment).

- EMR2 - EDC, EMR3 - EDC 16 UC40, EMR3 - EDC 7 UC31, EMR4 - EDC 17 CV52 / CV54, and EMR5 - EDC MD1: The successive Deutz engine controls in JLG machines.
- E-CDIS, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The common-rail engine control of Kubota engines, with additional functions.
- ECM Kohler and ECM Kohler (Stage V), Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The Kohler engine controls in Haulotte machines.
- EControls ECM 4G, Engine Control Module: The engine control for gasoline and LPG versions.

- Read and clear fault codes: Access the control unit's fault memory with descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: Monitor current sensor readings connected to the control unit, displayed as numbers and graphs.
- Check service records: Review maintenance intervals and completed service work on the machine, including service reports.
- Perform additional functions: Available on E-CDIS and EMR4 engine controls and on the hydraulic control of scissor lifts.
- View diagnostic alerts: On the hydraulic control of JLG scissor lifts.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable connects to the 4-pin diagnostic port on JLG boom lifts and telehandlers and to the equivalent connection on Haulotte boom lifts. Jaltest MHE covers the series listed below; check which connector is on your machine on-site.
