The Jaltest JDC304A is the adapter cable that converts the proprietary 4+4-pin diagnostic connector from Wabco bus systems ATC and MTS to the standard 16-pin OBD2 port on your Jaltest diagnostic device. The 4+4-pin connector is integrated into the climate control or door control unit itself, so it's not located at the vehicle's OBD port but rather in a control box in the cab or at the door. Climate control and door control share the same connector, so one cable serves both systems. The cable is system-specific rather than brand-specific: it works on any bus equipped with these Wabco modules.
With this connection, Jaltest equipment reads two control units that have their own electronics alongside the powertrain: The ATC / ATC Coach, the automatic climate control system, listed under Climate/HVAC coverage, and the MTS, the modular door control system, categorized under Electronic modules. This allows door and climate issues to be diagnosed using fault codes and live data rather than relying solely on a multimeter; however, for these two systems, coverage remains limited to reading only. The cable falls under Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).
