The Jaltest JDC557A9 is the diagnostic cable that connects the 3-pin connector of Hyster and Yale forklifts and warehouse trucks to the Jaltest Link. On the vehicle side, the 3-pin connector plugs into the diagnostic port located in the cab at the driver's seat; on the interface side, the 16-pin OBD2 connector connects to your Jaltest diagnostic cable. Hyster and Yale belong to the same manufacturer group and share their electronics architecture, which is why both brands use the same connector.
This cable routes the communication lines through to the Jaltest Link, establishing direct communication with the truck's control units. This gives your diagnostic equipment access to the engine computer VSM, the HLM module, and the engine controller EDC Yanmar on combustion forklifts, and on the electric XN-series to the machine computer MC, the power modules LMC and RMC, the hydraulic steering HPC and E-HYDRAULICS, and the display DCU. On FT combustion forklifts, coverage includes fault codes and ECU data, while the electric series also provide measurement values and maintenance information. The cable falls under Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment).

- VSM, Body computer: The main machine computer of Hyster/Yale combustion engine trucks.

- MC, Body computer: The machine computer of the electric XN series.
- LMC, Power module and RMC, Power module: The power modules of the electric drivetrain.
- HPC, Hydraulic System and E-HYDRAULICS, Electronic Module: The hydraulic control system for lift and tilt functions.
- DCU, Instrument cluster: The display of electric trucks.
- EDC Yanmar, Electronic Diesel Control: The engine control of diesel versions.
