The Jaltest JDC608A is the adapter cable for Honda outboard motors equipped with the manufacturer's proprietary 4-pin diagnostic connector: the connector is located on the motor side, while the interface side features the 16-pin OBD2 connection for the Jaltest Link. The port is situated in the engine compartment, on or near the motor. Honda uses two versions of the PGM-FI engine control system — a 2-pin and a 4-pin configuration; this cable is designed for the 4-pin version.
Once connected, the Jaltest software accesses the ECM PGM-FI, the Programmed Fuel Injection system of the engine. The 4-pin version provides full diagnostic coverage: fault codes, live data, component actuation, parameters, calibration and reset. This is significantly more comprehensive than the 2-pin version, which only reads live data and calibration — no fault codes or sensor readings. This cable is part of the Jaltest Marine product line.
