The Jaltest JDC558A is the diagnostic cable that connects the 5-pin diagnostic connector of Genie boom lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers to the Jaltest Link. On the machine side, the 5-pin connector is located at the machine's control panel; the exact location varies by series. On the interface side, the cable converts that connector to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable.
This cable routes the machine's communication lines to the Jaltest Link, enabling direct communication with the onboard control units. This gives the diagnostic equipment access to the central machine computer MCM and to the engine control systems that Genie installs: 404D/404F and ECM Perkins, EMR4 (EDC 17 CV52/CV54) and EMR5 (EDC MD1) from Deutz, the E-CDIS from Kubota, the EControls ECM 4G for petrol and LPG models, and the 854E for heavier telehandlers. On the S-series, the instrument panel ALC-500 is also included. Which systems are present depends on the series and the installed engine. The cable falls under Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment).

- 404D/404F (J1939 and PDL), Engine Control Module: The Perkins engine control of smaller diesel engines.
- ECM Perkins (Tier 3 / Stage III A), Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The Perkins common-rail control of telehandlers.
- EMR4 - EDC 17 CV52 and CV54 and EMR5 - EDC MD1, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The Deutz engine controls.
- E-CDIS, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The common-rail engine control of Kubota engines.
- EControls ECM 4G, Engine Control Module: The engine control of petrol and LPG versions.
- 854E, J1939, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The engine control of heavier telehandlers.
- ALC-500, Instrument cluster: The instrument cluster of the S-series.
