The Jaltest MDC100.9 is the adapter cable that lets you connect an earlier version of the Jaltest ETM to the Jaltest Link V9. Cojali lists it in the Jaltest 2026 price list as a SubD-26 female / SubD-37 female ETM adapter cable and identifies one application: connecting the previous ETM version to the Jaltest Link V9.
If you purchased an ETM back then and have since upgraded to the Link V9, you don't need to replace your test module. This cable bridges the gap between the 26-pin SubD connector on the Link V9 and the 37-pin SubD connector on the ETM. If you're using the current ETM interface for V9 (70001007), you won't need this cable.

What this cable is for
- Single application: The connection between an earlier ETM version and the Jaltest Link V9.

What you can do with the ETM
- Access the component in isolation: The ETM takes over the control unit role and communicates directly with the component.
- Determine if the component is actually faulty: If the component works, the fault lies elsewhere in the system.
- Test an EBS modulator completely: Cojali calls this advanced modulator diagnostics.
- Perform an End of Line test (EOL): The check that confirms the component is working properly.
What else you'll need
- An earlier version of the Jaltest ETM: That's why this adapter was created.
- A Jaltest Link V9: The interface where you connect the ETM via this cable.
- ETM license: Without that license, the ETM won't start. The annual renewal has reference 29701.
- An active Jaltest software license: Either a CV license or a Modular license.
- The test cable for the component: MDC02 through MDC12, depending on what you're testing.
