The Jaltest MDC06 is the diagnostic cable connecting the Jaltest ETM to third-generation Wabco modulator units. It's listed in the Jaltest 2026 Price List under the description Diagnostic Cable for Third-Generation Wabco Modulators. It comes included with the ETM Kit (70001008) and is also available for separate purchase — for example, as a replacement.
The ETM is not an additional diagnostic cable for the vehicle's OBD port. It's a test module that establishes communication with the modulator directly, simulating the control unit itself. This lets you determine whether the component is genuinely faulty or if the fault actually lies in the wiring or control unit instead. In addition to this cable, you'll need the Jaltest ETM, complete with an ETM license and an active Jaltest software license.

What the Jaltest ETM covers
Cojali lists the following components for the ETM:
- Wabco EBS modulators: First, second and third generation.
- Knorr-Bremse EBS modulators: Second and third generation.
- Knorr-Bremse trailer control modulators: The trailer brake control modules.
- Inductive wheel speed sensors: The speed sensors from ABS and EBS systems.
- Brake pad wear sensors: Sensors that monitor brake pad thickness.
What you can do with it
- Approach the component in isolation: The ETM takes over the control unit role and communicates directly with the component.
- Determine if the component is actually faulty: If the component works, the fault lies elsewhere in the system.
- Test an EBS modulator completely: Cojali calls this advanced modulator diagnostics.
- Perform an End of Line test (EOL): The check that confirms the component is working properly.
What you'll need
- Jaltest ETM: The test module itself. For the Jaltest Link V9, that's the ETM interface with reference 70001007; the complete ETM kit is 70001008.
- ETM license: Without this license, the ETM won't start. The annual renewal has reference 29701.
- An active Jaltest software license: A CV license or a Modular license. Other modules cannot be combined with the ETM.
- Power supply: The ETM is powered from the vehicle's batteries.
