Because communication occurs via a physical cable, the chance of data loss or interference is minimized, which is an absolute requirement when flashing or reprogramming control units through PC-based diagnostic software.
Within the diagnostic network, the interface cable acts as a fast translator between vehicle protocols and software thanks to a built-in 32-bit processor. The device applies automatic electronic switching to seamlessly switch between HS-CAN and MS-CAN without the user needing to manually toggle a physical switch.
