BMW ENET OBD2 - RJ45 Interface cable
The BMW ENET (Ethernet to OBD) interface cable is the gold standard for high-speed diagnostics, coding, and programming of modern BMW F-, G-, and I-series models, as well as recent Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles. This cable replaces older K+DCAN interfaces and uses DoIP (Diagnostics over Internet Protocol) via Ethernet for a stable and extremely fast connection between vehicle and laptop.
Unlike traditional interfaces, the ENET cable does not operate via a virtual COM port but as a direct network interface. This enables data speeds up to 100 Mbit/s, ideal for flashing ECUs or performing full system scans. The robust construction, shielded cabling, and metal RJ45 connector ensure reliable communication, even in professional environments. It is an indispensable tool for the BMW specialist and serious hobbyist.
Application and functionality:
- High-speed coding: Change vehicle options such as start/stop, lighting, or video while driving.
- ECU programming (flashing): Perform software updates for individual control units (I-level updates).
- Full vehicle diagnostics: Perform lightning-fast system scans with software like ISTA+.
- Module installation: Initialize and code new hardware (e.g., trailer hitch, headlight module).

This ENET cable is exclusively suitable for BMW Group vehicles with Ethernet support:
- BMW F-series: F01, F10, F20, F30, F40, etc.
- BMW G-series: G01, G05, G20, G30, etc.
- BMW I-series: i3, i8, iX
- Mini: F-series models (F55, F56, F60)
- Rolls-Royce: Ghost, Wraith, Dawn, Cullinan (newer models)
Note: Not compatible with E-series vehicles – a K+DCAN cable is required for those.
