GoDiag | BMW CAS2/CAS3 | Test platform
The GoDiag BMW CAS2/CAS3 test platform is a tool for testing and programming BMW CAS2 and CAS3/CAS3+ immobilizer systems. The platform allows checking the communication between the CAS module and the car key outside the vehicle. By simulating the car's operation, technicians and key specialists can perform diagnostics, program keys, and verify the synchronization status without the physical presence of the vehicle. The platform connects to a compatible programming device to read and write data from the CAS module.
The test platform is equipped with various indicator lights that display the system status. An LED indicator shows the power supply, another confirms the detection of the key by the induction coil, and a third light indicates whether the IMMO synchronization between the key and the CAS module is successful. Additionally, the platform features an analog start/stop switch and an illuminated start/stop button to simulate the vehicle's ignition and start procedure. This makes it possible to fully test the correct operation of a programmed key.
Application and functionality:
This test platform is used for performing various tasks related to the BMW CAS system on the workbench:
- Check key synchronization: Verifies whether a key is correctly synchronized with the CAS module. The IMMO synchronization indicator light shows if the communication is successful.
- Key programming: Enables programming new keys in combination with a key programmer, reading and writing key data to the CAS module.
- CAS module diagnosis: Tests the functionality of the CAS module for communication and operational errors without it being installed in the vehicle.
- Simulate vehicle environment: Emulates the vehicle's start and stop sequence with the built-in switch and button, enabling a full functional test of the key.
- Data recovery: Used to read data from the CAS module for repair or recovery purposes.
