The Foxwell BT780 is a Battery tester developed for analyzing the condition of 12 V and 24 V Batteries, starting systems, and charging systems. This tester measures various parameters such as the state of charge (SOC), the state of health (SOH), internal resistance, and the nominal CCA value. The BT780 uses a conductance test method to evaluate Battery performance and is equipped with a detachable cable with Kelvin clamps for a stable and accurate connection.
A distinctive feature of this model is the built-in thermal printer, which allows test results to be printed directly. The tester has a temperature compensation function to adjust measurements to the ambient temperature, contributing to the precision of the results. The device has a color screen for displaying data and test menus and comes in a robust case for storage and transport.
Application and functionality:
The BT780 offers a comprehensive set of diagnostic functions for the complete electrical system of a vehicle.
- Battery test: Analyzes the Battery to determine the current state of health (SOH), state of charge (SOC), voltage, internal resistance, and the test value according to the selected standard (e.g., CCA).
- Start test: Evaluates the starting circuit by measuring and graphically displaying the starting voltage and start time during engine start.
- Charging system test: Tests the alternator and charging system under various conditions, including an unloaded test, a loaded test, and a ripple voltage test to check charging performance.
- Built-in printer: A thermal printer for directly printing a complete test report, including company details and measurement results.
- Temperature compensation: A built-in sensor measures the ambient temperature and adjusts the test results accordingly for higher accuracy.
- Voltage measurement: Performs a quick measurement of the current Battery voltage.

The tester is compatible with a wide range of 12 V and 24 V lead-acid Batteries used in cars and heavy commercial vehicles.
- Regular wet Batteries (Flooded): Standard lead-acid Batteries with liquid electrolyte.
- AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat): Including both flat plate and spiral variants.
- GEL: Batteries in which the electrolyte is bound in a gel form.
- EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery): An improved version of the standard wet Battery, often used in vehicles with start-stop systems.
