This DTC eraser for Mercedes Euro 6 by CAN-BUS EMULATOR clears stored fault codes from the control units of a Mercedes-Benz Actros MP4, Antos or Atego. You plug it into the diagnostic port, and within a short time it sends an erase command to, among others, the engine control unit, the AdBlue system, the braking system and the vehicle computer (GM). No laptop, software or licence is required.

It is designed to quickly clear the fault memory after a repair or fault, for example on the road or at a location where no diagnostic device is at hand. It only clears stored (non-active) fault codes. As long as the cause is still present, an active fault will return. The module does not detect any fault and does not change anything in the software of the control units; a diagnostic device is still needed to find the cause.

Applications and functions

The DTC eraser is intended for workshops, mobile technicians and fleet managers with Mercedes-Benz trucks who want to quickly clear the fault memory after a repair or temporary fault.

What it does

  • Clears fault codes: Clears stored fault codes in the supported control units.
  • After repair: Removes old messages once the cause has been resolved.
  • Repeat: If a message returns, repeat the procedure or find the cause with a diagnostic device.

What it does not do

  • No reading: Does not display fault codes, live data or reports.
  • No adjustments: Does not change software or settings in the control units.
  • No active faults: A fault that is still present will be reported again by the control unit.

How to use it

  1. Ignition on: Switch the ignition on, but do not start the engine.
  2. Plug in: Insert the module into the diagnostic port and wait 30 seconds.
  3. Ignition off: Switch the ignition off and remove the module.
  4. Wait: Wait 30 seconds and start the engine.
  5. Check: If a message is still present, repeat the steps or find the cause with a diagnostic device.

This version is for heavy and medium-duty Mercedes-Benz trucks. For the Actros MP4, both Euro 6 and Euro 5 are supported according to the manufacturer.
