Topdon ArtiLink AL500 | Error Code Reader | Car
The Topdon ArtiLink AL500 is a fault code reader designed for diagnosing OBD2 systems. The device supports all 10 OBD2 test modes and is compatible with vehicles from 1996 onwards equipped with an OBD2 port. Communication is established via various protocols, including CAN, ISO9141, KWP2000, J1850 PWM, and J1850 VPW.
This fault code reader is equipped with a 2.8-inch color LCD screen for displaying diagnostic data. For quick visual analysis of the vehicle status, the AL500 features three LED indicators. The device offers functions such as retrieving Freeze Frame Data and vehicle information, including VIN, CIN, and CVN. The built-in DTC Library displays fault code definitions directly on the screen. It is a plug-and-play device powered via the vehicle's OBD2 port.

The ArtiLink AL500 is a diagnostic tool for checking the engine management system and emission-related components.
- Read and Clear Fault Codes: Reads and clears generic and manufacturer-specific Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) and turns off the Check Engine light.
- Full OBD2 Diagnosis: Supports all 10 OBD2 modes, including reading fault codes (Mode 03), clearing fault codes (Mode 04), live data (Mode 01), Freeze Frame Data (Mode 02), and O2 sensor test results (Mode 05).
- I/M Readiness Check: A one-click function checks the status of emission-related systems to determine readiness for an emission test or MOT.
- Live Data Display: Shows real-time data streams from vehicle sensors, such as engine speed, coolant temperature, and vehicle speed.
- Freeze Frame Data: Displays a snapshot of the vehicle's operating conditions at the time an emission-related fault occurred.
- Retrieve Vehicle Information: Retrieves the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Calibration Identification Number (CIN), and Calibration Verification Number (CVN).
- DTC Library: The built-in database provides definitions and explanations for the detected fault codes.
