Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway) Diagnostic Tool

What's in the box

The case contains the hardware which provides the connection, plus the software rights that unlock the OHW module system. The hardware is identical to that in the standalone kit 70001052; the difference between the diagnostic readers lies in the software module, not in the case. Below you'll find details of each component and its corresponding reference number.

Hardware

• Jaltest Link V9 (70001015): The diagnostic interface that you connect to the machine's diagnostic connector, with 26-pin DB26 to the cable and USB-C to the PC.
• Multipin Kit (70002001): Twenty multipins JTP01 through JTP10, each in two colours, the connection cable JTP101 and two power cables — JDC10AM2 with battery clamps and JDC20AM2 for the cigarette lighter outlet.
• OBD cable, 16-pin (JDC213.9): The standard cable for the regular diagnostic connection.
• USB-C cable (JDC107.9B): The connection between the Link and your laptop.
• Extension cable, 100 cm (JDC100): Fitted with a 26-pin DB26 connector, the wide connector on the Link itself.
• Carrying case (70003015): The compact version, 505 x 381 x 146 mm.

Software

• Software (29308): The one-off purchase that unlocks the OHW module.
• Licence activation, twelve months (74001014): The right to use it for the first year.
• INFO Online OHW (29476): The technical documentation for the software. Included, not available separately and is free of charge from 2026 onwards.
• Jaltest GRP: The workshop software from Cojali for customers, machinery and reports.

A laptop and the brand-specific cables does not come with this. See Cables and computer further down this page.

Which machines and systems are covered

Jaltest OHW covers three groups — heavy equipment, compact machinery and stationary engines — with its own coverage list for each category. A brand in the list means it is coverage, not that every model and year of manufacture fully supported; many brands appear in two lists because they manufacture both heavy and compact equipment. The grouping is as follows: continent refers to the country where the brand originates, not the current owner.

Stationary engines

All 30 engine brands, split by continent:

European includes the United Kingdom, Turkey and Russia. Chinese is separate from Asian, which includes Japan, South Korea, India and Taiwan. Under Other are manufacturers from Australia and Africa, plus a few names whose country of origin could not be determined.

The systems in the machine

• Engine: The engine control module (ECM) of the machine.
• Exhaust aftertreatment: Particulate filter, SCR and AdBlue.
• Central computer: The central vehicle computer and gateway.
• Transmission: The transmission control.
• Hydraulics: The hydraulic control units of the machine.
• Cooling: The cooling system of the machine.
• Instrument panel: The display and odometer unit.
• Telematics: The telematics module and data logging.

What you can do with it

With the OHW module you read out the control units of the machine, follow measured valuesand command components. It also includes a reference library with troubleshooting guides, wiring diagrams and maintenance data for the system you're working on.

Diagnostics and service

• Read fault codes: Systems are automatically detected, with fault code diagnostics for each error.
• Measured values: The readings from connected sensors, viewable in real time.
• Control components: Including particulate filter regeneration, cylinder cut-out tests and injector coding.
• Parameters and calibrations: Configure control units and calibrate systems, including tool valve calibration and hydrostatic unit adjustment.
• ECU data: Serial number, software version and other control unit data.
• Service reset: Reset particulate filter and SCR catalyst maintenance after servicing.

Technical information included

• Fault diagnostics: By fault code and symptom.
• Technical specifications: Of the system and the machine.
• Wiring diagrams: The electrical schematics for the system.
• Maintenance data: The machine service history.
• Procedures: Release procedures and methods.
• Manual diagnostics: Troubleshoot without system self-reporting.

The difference with expert mode

Standard diagnostics is reading, measuring and controlling components. In expert mode you also modify adjust parameters in the control units: The calibration of sensors and actuators, the setting of operating parameters and the regeneration of the particulate filter. This mode is included.

Cables and computer

The kit contains the 16-pin OBD cable for the standard connector. If the machine has a manufacturer-specific connector, then a separate cable beforehand; in earthmoving, a standardised OBD connection was never made mandatory, so those connectors remain in use on new machines. The software itself runs on a Windows PC.

• Complete cable set (70002026): Cables for Mercedes-Benz and MTU, Deutz engines, Cat and Perkins, Volvo Construction, ZF Ergopower, Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr, and the green 9-pin Deutsch connector.
• Basic cable set (70002030): Cables for Deutz engines, Cat and Perkins, Caterpillar, Volvo Construction, Kubota, Yanmar, and the green 9-pin Deutsch connector.
• Individual cables: Also available individually, including for Bobcat, Doosan, Hidromek, Hyundai CE and Bosch Rexroth.
• Service keys: Separate service keys are available for Merlo and Liebherr.
• Computer: The software runs on Windows. Cojali supplies the Jaltest Rugged PC and the A140 Rugged PAD; both are listed separately in our online shop.

Which cable suits your machine is determined by the diagnostic connector in that machine and not the manufacturer on the engine cover. Check the connector on the machine itself before ordering: If it is the 16-pin OBD2 connector, then the included JDC213.9 is sufficient; if it is a manufacturer-specific connector, then a manufacturer-specific cable is needed: this is included in one of the two cable sets or is available to order separately.

Licence and renewal

The software licence runs for twelve months from the activation and is then renewed annually containing the update licence (29760). As long as your licence remains active, you'll receive all new software versions and retain access to the Technical information.

• Renewal: Annually, with the update licence (29760), each time for a further twelve months.
• Subscription period: Twelve months from activation.
• Installations: Maximum of five PCs. Jaltest hardware is always required to run the software.
• Registration: Upon activation, after each new software version, and thereafter every six months.
• Additional modules: A module purchased later will be aligned with your current licence; you pay on a pro-rata basis.
• No renewal: Diagnostics will continue to work on the last installed version, but access to technical information expires. Cojali continues to support an expired licence for a further year.

Optional add-ons

In addition to the OHW module there are add-ons available for separate purchase. They are not necessary to diagnose, but they expand the reference library, the support or tools. Below you'll find what's included for requires each option.

• Jaltest GSE: The module for airport ground support equipment. This requires an active Jaltest OHW licence; upgrading to CV or MHE is permitted but not required.
• Jaltest Multi-Purpose Vehicle (29348): The separate module for multi-functional vehicles and sweeping machines; in our range, the Jaltest Sweeping Machines set.
• Jaltest INFO Web OHW: The same reference material via a web platform, on a monthly or annual basis.
• Jaltest ATS: One year's access to Cojali's English-language technical support desk. Runs automatically; cancellation must be given in writing up to thirty days before the expiry date.
• Jaltest Central Services: Work carried out by Cojali's specialists for you, charged per task.
• Jaltest tools: Including the AdBlue cleaning kit for agriculture, off-highway and internal transport, for cleaning the dosing module.
