The Autel 15-pin DB15 - 16-pin OBD2 Adapter Cable functions as the primary data cable between the diagnostic tool and the vehicle. This cable features a 15-pin DB15 connector with locking screws for connection to the serial port of the diagnostic tablet, and a standard 16-pin OBD2 connector for coupling to the vehicle's diagnostic port (DLC). The product serves as a physical bridge for bidirectional communication and power transfer between the diagnostic tool and the vehicle's internal networks.

Technically, this main cable facilitates the complete signal transmission and protocol compatibility required for modern OBD2 and EOBD diagnostics. The cable supports a pass-through connection for all standardized communication protocols, including CAN, J1850, ISO9141, and KWP2000. Thanks to the direct pin-out configuration, not only is vehicle data transmitted reliably and without latency, but the cable also delivers the necessary power supply (12V) from the vehicle battery directly to the connected diagnostic device.
