The Autool BT260 is a circuit tester for diagnosing electrical systems in vehicles. The device measures direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) voltage in a range of 0 to 65V and resistance up to 200 kΩ. The nominal current for activating components is 1 to 10A and the tester is equipped with a 6 meter long test cable for reach around the vehicle.
The circuit tester features various diagnostic modes, including a diode test, continuity test, and polarity detection. The function for signal circuit tests allows analysis of sensor signals and displays the waveform on the LCD color screen. The device can also activate components such as lamps and motors, and the interface supports nine different languages.
Application and functionality:
The Autool BT260 is used for testing and diagnosing electrical circuits in 12V and 24V vehicle systems.
- Activating components: Powers electrical components such as cooling fans, relays, and lamps directly from the device.
- Testing continuity: Checks the passage of wiring and components with visual and audible indication.
- Identifying polarity: Recognizes positive, negative, and open circuits and displays the polarity directly.
- Checking grounding points: Locates poor or faulty grounding contacts.
- Detecting short circuits: Detects and traces short circuits without blowing fuses, thanks to the internal current interrupter.
- Testing signal circuits: Tests sensor signals, such as from a MAP sensor, and displays the output as a waveform on the display.
Measurement ranges and functions:
The circuit tester is equipped with various measurement modes for detailed analysis of electrical systems.
- DC voltage test: Measures DC voltage from 0 to 65V.
- AC voltage test: Measures AC voltage from 0 to 65V, including display of minimum and maximum values, frequency, and duty cycle.
- Resistance test: Measures resistance in a circuit from 0 to 200 kΩ.
- Diode test: Checks the forward and reverse voltage of diodes and rectifiers.
