The Fiat Bypass - Emergency Start Tool is a device designed to temporarily bypass the immobilizer signal of a vehicle. It connects to the OBD2 port and enables an emergency start, for example in case of a lost key. The tool operates by automatically recognizing the ECU (Engine Control Unit) and the vehicle type.
This device is suitable for a range of vehicles from brands such as Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Fiat, and Peugeot. For vehicles produced from 2017 onwards, which are often equipped with an SGW (Security Gateway) module, a separate SGW adapter is required to establish the connection. A LED indicator on the tool displays the status of the procedure.
Application and functionality:
The tool is used to perform an emergency start by temporarily disabling the immobilizer. It is intended for use on vehicles with a mechanical key and original factory parts.
- Bypass immobilizer: The primary function is to temporarily deactivate the immobilizer system, allowing the engine to start without a programmed key.
- Plug-and-play: The device works immediately after connecting to the vehicle’s OBD2 diagnostic port, without requiring complex configurations.
- Automatic ECU recognition: The tool automatically identifies the ECU and the specific vehicle model to apply the correct bypass procedure.
- LED status indicator: A built-in LED communicates the operational status: fast blinking during initialization and slow blinking when the start procedure can begin.
- SGW compatibility: With the use of an optional SGW adapter, the device can also operate on newer vehicles secured with a Security Gateway module.
