The Carlabimmo Fiat Bypass is a specialized emergency start module designed for vehicles within the FCA and related groups. This tool allows diagnostic technicians to start the engine in situations where all vehicle keys are lost. The device connects directly to the OBD2 diagnostic port and performs intelligent recognition of the present Engine Control Unit (ECU). By temporarily bypassing the original immobilizer signal, the engine management start lock is released without making permanent changes to the vehicle software.
Once the module is plugged in, an integrated LED indicator shows the current communication status with the CAN network. A fast blinking frequency means the ignition must be turned on with a mechanical key, after which a slow frequency confirms the bypass has been successfully applied and the vehicle can be started. For models produced from 2017 onwards, equipped by the manufacturer with a Security Gateway Module (SGW), the use of an external SGW adapter is necessary to open the required data lines to the control units. The tool requires the presence of original vehicle components to correctly complete the authorization procedure.
