The CarLabImmo Renault ESL Emulator is an electronic module designed to replace the original electronic steering column lock (ESL) in various Renault models. This part provides a solution for starting problems caused by a defective or stuck ESL unit, a common issue in these vehicles. The emulator takes over the function of the original mechanical lock, releasing the vehicle's start immobilizer.
The emulator functions in most cases as a plug-and-play solution by simulating the signal of a working steering column lock. After connecting the original plug to the module, the immobilizer is released. An integrated LED indicator displays the status of communication with the vehicle system. This simplifies installation and any diagnosis of the connection.
Application and functionality:
This emulator is used to bypass a defective or non-functioning original Electronic Steering Lock (ESL) unit. It resolves issues such as the inability to start the engine and error messages related to the steering column lock.
