By clearing fault codes, the module can lift any limp mode, restoring full engine power and normal speed. This allows the driver to continue the trip after a temporary malfunction.
Application and functionality:
This device is used for clearing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and resetting warning systems in the truck.
- Clearing fault codes: Reads and removes active or stored fault codes from supported control units, such as the engine and the AdBlue system.
- Deactivating warning lights: Turns off warning lights on the dashboard related to the cleared fault codes, including the 'check engine' light.
- Lifting limp mode: Resets vehicle systems, removing power or speed restrictions (limp mode) caused by fault codes.
