The DTC remover is a device specifically developed for DAF trucks of the XF and XG series that meet the Euro 6.2 emission standard. This module connects to the vehicle's OBD diagnostic port and communicates with the main control units to clear stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
This plug-and-play device requires no external software or setup and is designed to communicate directly with systems such as the engine control unit, the emission aftertreatment system (AdBlue), and the gearbox. Its primary purpose is to deactivate warning lights, reset alerts, and lift an active limp mode or power limitation, allowing the driver to continue the journey.
Application and functionality:
The device is used for reading and clearing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in various truck systems.
- Clearing fault codes: Reads and clears active or stored fault codes from supported control units, such as the engine, gearbox, and AdBlue system.
- Lifting limp mode: Resets vehicle systems to deactivate power or speed restrictions (limp mode) triggered by emission or other system faults.
- Resetting dashboard warnings: Turns off warning lights and notifications on the dashboard, including the engine warning light.
- Plug-and-play operation: Works immediately after connecting to the OBD port, without the need for a computer or additional software.
