The DTC remover is a plug-and-play device, specifically developed for DAF Euro 6 trucks. The module connects to the vehicle's OBD diagnostic port to read and clear stored fault codes (DTCs). It is designed to communicate directly with the main electronic systems of the truck.
This device communicates with various control units, including the engine control unit (PCI), the braking system (EBS 3), the AdBlue module (EAS 3), and the automatic transmission (AS Tronic). Its primary purpose is to deactivate warning lights and reset alerts on the dashboard. Clearing fault codes also disables the limp mode, which limits engine power and speed.
Application and functionality:
This device is used to clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in various systems of DAF Euro 6 trucks.
- Clear fault codes: Removes stored fault codes from the different control units, turning off active warning lights on the dashboard.
- Disable limp mode: By clearing critical fault codes, especially emission-related faults, the device restores full engine power and normal driving speed of the vehicle.
- Plug-and-play operation: The module works without software installation or configuration. Clearing fault codes is done by connecting the device to the OBD port and following a simple procedure with the ignition switch.
