The DTC remover is a plug-and-play device, designed for Citroën Jumper vans that meet the Euro 6 emission standard. The module connects to the vehicle's OBD diagnostic port to read and clear stored fault codes (DTCs). The device is developed to reset malfunction warnings originating from various vehicle systems.
This device communicates with the engine control unit, the AdBlue system, the automatic transmission, the braking system, the suspension system, and the central vehicle computer. Its primary function is the deactivation of active warning lights and the resetting of alerts on the dashboard. This allows the driver to continue a journey by, for example, temporarily lifting a limp-home mode caused by emission-related fault codes.
Application and functionality:
This device is used to clear fault codes and reset warning messages on the dashboard. Clearing fault codes does not resolve the underlying technical cause of a malfunction.
- Clearing fault codes: Reads and clears diagnostic fault codes from various control units, including the engine, transmission, and the AdBlue system.
- Deactivating warning lights: Switches off warning lights on the dashboard, such as the engine malfunction light (MIL) or specific AdBlue and NOx sensor alerts.
- Lifting limp-home mode: By clearing critical fault codes, the module can lift the vehicle’s speed or power limitation (limp-home mode).
- Plug-and-play installation: The device works immediately after connection to the OBD port, without requiring additional setup or software.
