The unit delivers a constant operating pressure of up to 18 psi and air displacement up to 6 liters per minute. Power is drawn directly from the 12V vehicle battery using the supplied battery clamps. During the diagnostic procedure, the machine simplifies smoke injection with separate control buttons for air-only testing and smoke testing. - Air Mode: Activates only the internal compressor to fill the sealed system with clean compressed air. This allows you to detect pressure drops using the pressure gauge first, without unnecessarily consuming smoke fluid or introducing contamination into the system.
- Smoke Mode: Engages the internal heating element. The fluid is converted into dense smoke that, driven by the pumps, flows into the test lines within ten seconds for visual detection of cracks and leaks.
- Flow Control: The amount of air or smoke pumped into the system is infinitely adjustable via a mechanical dial knob. The flow meter with glass tube and indicator displays the throughput volume in liters per minute directly.

Good to know: Always fill a maximum of 20 ml baby oil or dedicated smoke fluid, as excess will block the internal airflow. Additionally, start every diagnostic in air mode: if the pressure gauge shows no pressure drop, there's no leak and you'll save fluid and time. After use, drain the remaining test oil through the valve at the bottom.
