The Autel MaxiVCI V150 Lite is a replacement vehicle communication interface that acts as a link between the diagnostic tablet and the vehicle's OBD2 port. The interface connects directly to the J1962 connector and communicates wirelessly with the host device, allowing the technician to move freely around the vehicle during diagnostic work.
During use, the V150 Lite reads the vehicle's databus and sends the signals to the paired Autel tablet for processing in the diagnostic software. The interface supports common OBD2 protocols including CAN and is specifically tailored to the Autel MX900, MK900, MP900, and DS900 series. This keeps an existing diagnostic device operational when the original VCI is lost or defective.

KEY POINTS
Applications and functionalities
The MaxiVCI V150 Lite supports the following communication tasks between tablet and vehicle:
- Vehicle communication: Sends and receives diagnostic data via the OBD2 port and forwards it to the Autel tablet for processing in the diagnostic software.
- Wireless connection: Connects to the host device so the technician is not physically tethered to the tablet during measurements, coding, or test drives.
- Protocol processing: Processes common OBD2 protocols including CAN for reading fault codes, live data, and steering information.
- Replacement module: Takes over the function of a lost or defective original V150 interface without needing to replace the existing tablet.
