The Autel MaxiSys MS906 Pro update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the MS906 Pro with one year. The automatic scan also recognises ADAS systems, and the device codes modules for BMW chassis series, Porsche and Ford among others, with a comprehensive set of service functions. The MS906 Pro is a bidirectional diagnostic tablet with the MaxiVCI V200 as interface, and all these functions draw from the same software file which is expanded with every update.

After you place your order, we activate the licence on the serial number of the MS906 Pro, typically within one working day, after which the update menu displays the new versions. A renewal keeps the vehicle coverage, the service functions and the coding files included; the ADAS calibration side requires a separate purchase. When the licence expires, the MS906 Pro remains on the version from that point and the existing functions continue to work on the vehicles already supported.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕A renewal provides software only, not hardware, so the battery tester MaxiBAS BT506 and the ADAS calibration kit remain separately available for purchase.
✕Vehicle connection plays no role in updates; everything occurs via wifi and the charger.

What a renewal provides

  • New vehicle coverage: Brands, models and model years added after your last update become available within existing diagnostic functions.
  • Expanded service functions: Procedures such as oil service, steering angle sensor, electronic parking brake, injector coding and DPF regeneration remain compatible with newer vehicles as manufacturers update their systems.
  • Coding files: The coding and adaptation procedures follow the modules released by manufacturers.

What happens without renewal

  • No updates: New coverage and new procedures no longer reach the device.
  • Online functions: Anything the software does not have built-in may stop working afterwards.
  • Daily operations: Reading and clearing codes, live data and active tests on known vehicles continue without interruption.
