The Autel MaxiCom Ultra Lite update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the Ultra Lite for one year. The Ultra Lite is a comprehensive diagnostic platform featuring system topology mapping and ECU programming, designed for busy workshops. The system topology mapping displays the actual module configuration of the vehicle, and the schematics plus coding and programming files for manufacturers including BMW and Mercedes-Benz are delivered exclusively through updates. While the licence remains active, every new software version arrives via the update menu on the device itself.
We link the licence to the serial number of your Ultra Lite and process it within one working day; you need not register anything yourself. A licence renewal covers vehicle coverage, the module schematics underlying the topology and cloud services such as remote assistance, which according to the manufacturer function only with an active licence. When the licence expires, the Ultra Lite continues to operate on the last installed version and reading, clearing and live data functions on already supported vehicles continue normally, but new versions cannot be installed.

What the extension provides you with
- New vehicle coverage:Brands, models and model years added after your last update will become available within the existing diagnostic functions.
- Broader service functions:Procedures such as oil service, electronic parking brake, battery management, air suspension calibration and injector initialisation continue to connect on newer vehicles as manufacturers modify their systems.
- Programming files:The files for ECU programming are updated to support newer control units.
What happens without renewal
- No further updates: The update menu will remain empty, even when the manufacturer releases new versions.
- Cloud services: Reporting and support services that run through the manufacturer's servers may cease to function.
- Existing diagnostics: Reading, clearing, live data and active tests on already supported vehicles will continue to work normally.

How does it work in practice?
From order to updated device takes four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to look up yourself.
- Provide serial number: When placing your order, provide the serial number of your Ultra Lite so we know which device to link the licence to.
- Activation: We link the licence to that serial number, usually within one working day.
- Prepare device: Connect the Ultra Lite to the charger and ensure a stable WiFi connection before starting the download.
- Install updates: Open the update menu, select the available versions and start the installation.
