Ancel BD500 Car Diagnostic Tool

The Ancel BD500 is a compact, wireless Bluetooth dongle that turns your smartphone (iOS or Android) into a specialized Diagnostic Tool. The device is primarily designed for vehicles of the VAG group (Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, SEAT) and offers extensive brand-specific diagnostic and service functions normally only available in more expensive professional systems. This makes the BD500 particularly suitable for users who work specifically on VAG vehicles.

In addition to in-depth support for VAG functions, the BD500 also acts as a universal OBD2 scanner. This allows general engine faults to be read and cleared on most vehicles of other brands (gasoline models from 1996 onwards). Diagnostic functions:

Via the Ancel app, the Ancel BD500 offers extensive diagnostic capabilities for vehicles of the VAG group (Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, SEAT):

• Full system diagnosis: reads and clears fault codes from all present electronic systems, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag (SRS), climate control, instrument panel, and other control units.

• Live datastream: displays real-time sensor information in text and graph views, allowing users to monitor vehicle performance and accurately analyze malfunctions.

Maintenance and service functions:

The Ancel BD500 supports the most common maintenance procedures for vehicles of the VAG group (Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, SEAT). These functions can be easily performed via the Ancel app:

• Oil service reset: resets the service interval after an oil change or regular maintenance.

• Electronic parking brake reset (EPB): activates the rear brake service mode for safe replacement of brake pads or performing maintenance.

• Throttle body learning: calibrates the electronic throttle position sensor for optimal engine operation and throttle response.
