The UPA-USB programmer is the ultimate car ECU programming device, complete with all necessary UPA adapters. This device features a 40-pin ZIF socket for both narrow and wide DIP/DIL devices and a 16-pin SOIC ZIF socket (150 mil, narrow) for the most common devices.

Thanks to special configuration keys, the device can be configured easily and safely, making it a superior alternative to manual wiring. Additionally, extra packages can be supported using commonly available adapters connected to the 40-pin ZIF socket.

The UPA-USB programmer is also equipped with a 10-pin ISP connector, to which the supplied ISP adapters can be connected using the included 1:1 flat ribbon cable. The PLCC ISP adapters should be placed directly on the soldered chip of the target device, providing easy and safe operation compared to soldering or using manually attached clips. A jumper next to the 10-pin ISP connector allows the power from the UPA to the ISP target to be turned on or off.

EEPROM:

The EEPROM programmer is a versatile tool for programming computer motherboards. It can be connected directly to the UPA programmer or via a DB9 extension cable. With the correct configuration key, you can easily program motherboards via the ZIF or SOIC socket. A DIL to 10-pin flat ribbon header is included, which can be placed in the ZIF socket to then connect a SOIC clip or clamp for ISP use. This makes programming EEPROM chips simple and safe.

 

Motorola MCU:

The Motorola MCU adapter for the UPA programmer simplifies and streamlines programming the PLCC MCU on target PCBs. Connect the flat cable to the adapter and to the 10-pin ISP connector on the motherboard, and select the VCC power source using the jumper on the motherboard. Slide the adapter over the soldered PLCC MCU on the target PCB without soldering. This saves time and effort and makes the work faster, more accurate, and easier. PIN1 is always indicated, both on the cable and on the adapter.
