The Topdon ArtiDiag Pro is an advanced and professional car Diagnostic Tool, designed as a powerful all-in-one solution for universal workshops and diagnostic professionals. The system is built around a robust 7-inch touchscreen tablet with a fast and stable Android operating system, enabling diagnoses to be performed quickly and efficiently. The ArtiDiag Pro offers OE-level diagnosis, full bidirectional control, and an extensive package of maintenance and coding functions. With support for more than 100 vehicle brands worldwide, the system is widely applicable in any work environment.

Communication with the vehicle takes place via a stable, wired OBD2 connection, ensuring reliable data transfer. A key technical advantage is support for the CAN-FD protocol, which allows newer vehicles from, among others, General Motors to be read quickly and accurately. The ArtiDiag Pro comes standard with two years of free software updates, giving the user continuous access to the latest features and extensive vehicle coverage. After this period, the device remains fully usable with the last installed software version.

Diagnostic functions:

The Topdon ArtiDiag Pro offers comprehensive OE-level diagnostics for more than 100 vehicle brands. The system supports both fault analysis and active system tests, making it suitable for daily use in professional workshops.

• Complete system diagnosis (OE-level): Access to all electronic systems in the vehicle, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag (SRS), body control module (BCM), air conditioning, power steering, lighting, and more. Supports reading and clearing fault codes with clear fault descriptions.
• Active tests (bidirectional control): Sends commands to components such as fuel pumps, fans, air conditioning clutches, locks, and windshield wipers to test their operation without disassembly.
• AutoVIN technology: Automatically recognizes the vehicle based on the chassis number (VIN) and directly selects the correct make, model, and year. This speeds up the diagnostic start and reduces the chance of errors.
• Live datastream: Displays real-time sensor data from all systems in text format, as a graph, or as analog meters. Up to four data streams can be displayed simultaneously for direct comparison and in-depth analysis.

Maintenance and service functions:

The ArtiDiag Pro supports more than 35 maintenance and service functions, enabling common tasks to be performed efficiently and accurately after repair or replacement of parts. These functions make the device suitable for daily use in universal workshops.

• Oil service reset (Service): Resets the maintenance interval and service light after an oil change.
• Electronic parking brake (EPB): Releases, closes, and initializes the electric handbrake during brake service.
• Battery management system (BMS): Registers a new Battery and adjusts Battery data for correct charging control.
• Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibration of the steering angle sensor after alignment or replacement of steering components.
• Diesel particulate filter (DPF): Starts forced regeneration and resets fault codes after maintenance on the soot filter.
• Bleed ABS pump (ABS): Removes air from the ABS braking system after replacement of brake components or brake fluid.
• TPMS reset: Learning or reinitializing tire pressure sensors after replacement or tire change.
• Throttle body learning (ETC): Calibration of the throttle position after cleaning or replacement.
• Initialize injectors: Programs new injector IDs in the ECU for optimal fuel atomization.
• Transmission adaptation: Resets learned values of automatic transmissions for improved shifting behavior.
• Crankshaft sensor learning: Relearns the position of the crankshaft sensor after replacement or engine adjustment.
• AdBlue reset: Resets level measurement and error codes of the SCR system after refilling or maintenance.

• Diagnostic reports: Generates detailed pre-scan and post-scan reports of the full system scan, including error codes, module status, and vehicle data. Ideal for workshop archiving and customer documentation.
• Easy sharing and printing: Reports can be directly shared via email or wirelessly printed via Wi-Fi from the tablet, without the need for a PC or printer driver installation.
• Diagnostic feedback: Via a special function, a diagnostic report or error message can be sent with one press of a button to the Topdon technical service. This is useful for support with complex malfunctions or error codes without known solutions.

Programming and coding functions:

The Topdon ArtiDiag Pro offers advanced coding capabilities that allow vehicle modules to be customized, reconfigured, or enhanced with hidden features. These functions are indispensable when replacing components or personalizing vehicle settings.

• Advanced ECU coding: Supports re-coding of vehicle modules after replacement, adjusting factory settings, and activating hidden functions such as disabling the start/stop system, changing coming-home lighting, or setting comfort options. These functions are particularly powerful in vehicles from the Volkswagen group (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda) and Mercedes-Benz.

Additional features and special capabilities:

The ArtiDiag Pro is prepared for modern vehicle architectures and meets the latest technical and legal requirements for diagnostics and vehicle reporting.

• Support for CAN-FD: Provides full support for the CAN-FD protocol, essential for communication with modern vehicles including General Motors (from 2020). This ensures a faster and more stable data transfer, especially in vehicles with extensive electronic systems.
• FCA AutoAuth access: Provides authorized access to the Secure Gateway (SGW) of modern vehicles from Fiat, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo and Jeep. This allows full diagnostic and service functions to be performed without bypass tools. An active AutoAuth account is required.
• OBFCM APK2-compatible: Supports reading fuel and energy consumption data (OBFCM), in accordance with the requirements for APK2 inspection in Europe. This makes the system suitable for workshops inspecting vehicles according to the latest emission and reporting rules.

After the first year, the license can be renewed for an annual fee. The device remains fully functional for already supported models, even without license renewal. However, new software updates can no longer be installed, and some online features may be limited or no longer supported.
