The VT01712B is a 6-piece timing tool set for BMW N63 and S63 V8 petrol engines. This tool kit is used to lock the camshafts and the crankshaft in their TDC position (Top Dead Centre) during timing chain replacement or engine repairs.
The set includes specific components: camshaft locking tool, a crankshaft locking pin and a chain tensioner. These parts ensure precise alignment of engine components — essential for proper VANOS system operation and preventing engine damage.
