The Jaltest JDC121A9 is the diagnostic cable for the 3-pin connector of Carrier refrigerated units with CAN communication; the cable connects that port to the 16-pin OBD2 input of the Jaltest diagnostic equipment. The 3-pin connector plugs directly into the refrigeration unit at the control module; on the interface side, the cable terminates in the standard 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic connector, rather than directly to the DB26 of the Link as the JDC115.9 does.
With this connection, the Jaltest diagnostic tool reads the refrigeration unit's control module. This gives you access to the refrigerated unit controls MAXIMA/ULTRA and VECTOR, and for the VECTOR 1350 also to maintenance data. Refrigerated units have no mandatory diagnostic connector requirement, so the trailer's model year is not a limiting factor here. The cable falls under Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).

- Carrier MAXIMA/ULTRA: Refrigeration unit control with fault codes, measurement values and ECU data.
- Carrier VECTOR: Refrigeration unit control with fault codes, measurement values and ECU data.
- Carrier VECTOR 1350: The same refrigeration unit control, supplemented with maintenance data.
What you can do
- Read fault codes: Request the fault memory of the refrigeration unit controller.
- View measurement values: Real-time sensor readings from the refrigeration unit, with an alert when a value goes out of range.
- View maintenance data: Consult the maintenance intervals on the VECTOR 1350 and generate a service report.

What matters is the connection on the refrigeration unit, not the trailer brand underneath. This cable is part of the Carrier refrigeration units with CAN communication.
