The VT01522 is a 6-piece timing tool set for BMW N40 and N45 engines, designed for checking and adjusting engine timing on specific BMW petrol engines. This set is engineered to lock the camshafts and crankshaft during maintenance work such as timing chain replacement or cylinder head gasket service.
The set includes all necessary components, including a camshaft adjustment tool, a crankshaft locking pin and a tool for tensioning the timing chain. The components are manufactured for precise fitment to engine parts and come supplied in a storage case.

Application and functionality
- Camshaft adjustment: Correctly position the intake and exhaust camshafts relative to the crankshaft.
- Locking the crankshaft: Secures the crankshaft at TDC (top dead center) using an adjustment pin.

- Fixing the sensor wheel: Locks the sensor wheel while adjusting VANOS timing.
