This keeps the device aligned with developments from vehicle manufacturers, which is essential for diagnosing newer models and systems.
After purchase, the user receives an update card with a 12-character activation code. This code is entered manually via the accompanying software on the diagnostic device, after which updates become available through the standard update function. When the license period expires, the device continues to work with the already installed software, but new updates and additional vehicle coverage are blocked. A renewal is then needed to continue receiving further updates.

Serial Number Information
To register and link the update license, you may need the serial number of your diagnostic scanner. This can typically be found in the following locations.
