The OBDSTAR Converter V2 is an OBD2 interface adapter used between the OBDSTAR diagnostic device and the OBD2 diagnostic connector of the vehicle. The adapter is designed for use in key programming and other immobilizer-related operations on supported vehicle models. The housing is labeled Converter V2, which identifies this second-generation converter.
The adapter is connected to the main OBD2 cable of the OBDSTAR tablet and plugged into the vehicle's J1962 connector. The converter remaps the pin configuration so that OBDSTAR software can communicate correctly with the relevant vehicle module during key programming and immobilizer procedures. This enables procedures that cannot be completed correctly without this intermediate step.
