The Jaltest JDC204A is the diagnostic cable for the 16-pin connector of the Wabco braking systems on commercial and work vehicles; the cable brings that connection to the 16-pin OBD2-input of the Jaltest equipment. That 16-pin Wabco connector is a separate system plug, independent from the vehicle's OBD2 port, and is part of the brake control system itself rather than the truck, bus or machine brand surrounding it.
Once the connection is established, the Jaltest software reaches the vehicle's Wabco brake control system. This gives the diagnostic equipment access to the ABS/ASR family (ABS SAE, ABS/ASR C, ABS/ASR D/E, ABS/ASR E (K Line) and ABS/ASR E CAN), with the EBS family (EBS Asia, EBS Euro Gen 2, EBS Euro Gen 3 and EBS ZM) and with hydraulic braking systems HABS D and HBS AddOn-E. With these systems, coverage goes beyond just reading data: you can also control valves and other components directly through the device. The cable falls under Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).
