The Jaltest JDC513A is the adapter cable that connects the proprietary 16-pin diagnostic connector of Massey Ferguson tractors to a standard 16-pin OBD2 interface. On the vehicle side, the 16-pin connector plugs into the cab and has a different pin configuration than a standard OBD2 plug; on the interface side, the 16-pin OBD2 port connects to your Jaltest diagnostic cable.
The cable unlocks diagnostics for six different engine control units — from the EEM2 with VP30/VP44 distributor pump to the ECM 1100D common rail — plus the complete Autotronic family for transmission, hydraulics and suspension, along with ATC climate control and the DCC2 instrument cluster. Jaltest provides maintenance intervals for the engine control units; for transmission, hydraulics and suspension modules, you get fault codes, live data and ECU information. Agricultural vehicles have never had a standardized diagnostic connector, which is why this proprietary plug remained in use across many model years. This cable falls under Jaltest AGV (agricultural vehicles).

Applications and functionality
Through this 16-pin connection, you can access the tractor's control units using Jaltest software. Which units are available varies by series, engine, and transmission.

- Engine management EEM2 - VP30/VP44: The engine control with distributor injection pump.
- Engine management EEM3 - EDC 7 UC31: The common-rail engine control.
- Engine management ECM 1100 series (PDL), ECM 1100C (Tier 2/Stage II, J1939) and ECM 1100D (Tier 3/Stage IIIA, J1939, common rail): The Perkins-based engine controls.
- Transmission Autotronic 3 - PowerControl: The gearbox control of older versions.
- Transmission Autotronic 4 - Dyna VT: The continuously variable transmission of the 7400 series and others.
- Transmission Autotronic 5 - Dynashift and Dyna 6: The powershift transmission versions.
- Hydraulics EHRC, Autotronic 5 - Lifting and Rexroth Valves: The lifting system and external hydraulic valves.
- Suspension Autotronic 5 - Suspension: The front axle suspension management.
- Climate control ATC: The automatic air conditioning.
- Instrument cluster DCC2: The dashboard with operating data.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the control unit's fault memory, including descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: Monitor current sensor values controlled by the control unit, with the ability to set alarm thresholds.
- Check service intervals: Review scheduled maintenance and required work, with a report for workshop records. Available on Massey Ferguson EEM2 and EEM3 engine controls.

The connector type matters, not the model. This cable fits any Massey Ferguson tractor with the manufacturer's own 16-pin diagnostic connector. Jaltest AGV covers the series listed below; check which connector is installed in your cab.
