The Jaltest 74502002 is the software activation for Jaltest Marine Vessel, the diagnostic module for ships and marine engines. It's a one-time purchase: The activation unlocks the Vessel software on your Jaltest equipment and remains valid thereafter, with no expiration date. We link the activation to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.

With this activation alone, you cannot yet diagnose. Jaltest requires three components: The Jaltest Link, the software activation, and the software license for the first year (74502012). From the second year onwards, you'll continue with the annual update license (74602002). This activation is therefore the foundation on which your yearly licenses rest; you purchase it once and never again.

IMPORTANT NOTES

✕You'll need the software license (74502012) as well. Without that annual license, you cannot run diagnostics.
✕The Jaltest Link is required. The software won't start on your computer without this interface.
✕The software requires registration every six months, even if your license is still active. If you don't complete registration, the software will be blocked.
✕When placing your order, provide the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the comments field; without that number, we cannot activate your license.

Applications and Features

Jaltest Marine Vessel is the module for marine vessels. This activation unlocks that module; what you can do with it depends on your vessel and the cable you use.

What the Vessel module covers

  • Inboard engines: Engine management for inboard propulsion systems.
  • Outboard engines: Engine management for outboard propulsion systems.
  • Gasoline engines: Gasoline-powered marine engines within the Vessel segment.
  • Marine electronics: Onboard marine modules and propulsion systems.
  • Brands: Including Volvo Penta, Yamaha, Mercury, Honda, Evinrude and Suzuki, via the cables in the Vessel cable kit.
  • Personal watercraft: Not covered by this module; for those, you need the separate activation 74502005.

What you can do

  • System scan: View all control units present and identify any fault locations.
  • Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory for each control unit, complete with fault descriptions.
  • Live measurements and data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real-time while operating or underway.
  • Component actuation: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in its wiring.
  • Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers for each system.
  • Service resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.

What you'll need

Jaltest requires three components to enable diagnostics. This activation is one of them; the complete setup is detailed below.

  • Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on your PC.
  • Software activation (74502002): This product. One-time purchase, valid indefinitely.
  • Software license first year (74502012): The annual license that gives you full working access.
  • Update license (74602002): From year two onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
  • Diagnostic cables: The Vessel cable set (70002008). Cables are not included.

Vessel is one of six marine variants. If you also service personal watercraft, you'll need the separate activation Marine Watercraft (74502005) instead; if you want all marine segments under a single activation, Marine Complete (74502001) is the broader option. Those modules are purchased separately.

Good to know: When your annual license expires, diagnostics will continue to work on the last installed software version — you won't lose access to your equipment, but you won't receive new vehicle coverage. If you renew within fifteen days of expiration, the new period runs from that expiration date; after that, it begins on your renewal date. Please include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the order notes field.
