The Jaltest 74502004 is the software activation for Jaltest Marine Outboard, the diagnostic module for outboard motors. It's a one-time purchase: The activation unlocks the Outboard software on your Jaltest equipment and remains valid thereafter, with no expiration date. We link the activation to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
With this activation alone, you cannot yet diagnose. Jaltest requires three components: The Jaltest Link, the software activation, and additionally the software license for the first year (74502014). From the second year onwards, you'll continue with the update license (74602004). Outboard is one of six marine variants: If you want all marine segments at once, choose Marine Complete (74502001).

Applications and Features
Jaltest Marine Outboard is one of six marine variants. This activation unlocks that variant; what you do with it next depends on your vessel and the cable you use.
What the Outboard module covers
- Outboard engines: Engine management and associated propulsion systems.
- Brand coverage: Yamaha, Mercury, Honda, Evinrude and Suzuki, via Jaltest outboard cables.
- Cable connections: The connections from the Outboard cable set (70002025): JDC601A, JDC603A, JDC608A, JDC609.9, JDC614A, JDC616A, JDC617A and JDC628A.
- Outside the module: Inboard engines, jet skis and general marine electronics are covered by other marine variants.
What you can do
- System scan: Display all control units present and identify where faults are located.
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory for each control unit, with descriptions of the faults.
- Measurement values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real time while operating or running.
- Component control: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in its wiring.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system, for example after replacing a component.
- Service resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
- Expert mode: Manually select a control unit when automatic selection doesn't apply.
What you'll need
Jaltest requires three components to enable diagnostics. This activation is one of them; the complete setup is listed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, also to launch the software on a PC.
- Software activation (74502004): This product. One-time purchase, remains valid.
- First year software license (74502014): The annual license you'll use for actual diagnostics.
- Update license (74602004): From the second year onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic cables: The Outboard cable set (70002025), or individual cables per brand.
If you also work on other marine segments, there's the Marine Vessel activation (74502002) for vessels. To get all six variants at once, choose Marine Complete (74502001). These activations are purchased separately.
