The Jaltest 29469 is the software activation for the Jaltest Manufacturer Module, which lets you select by system manufacturer instead of by vehicle model. It's a one-time purchase: The activation unlocks the module on your Jaltest equipment and remains valid thereafter, with no expiration date. We link the activation to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.

With this activation alone you cannot yet diagnose. The manufacturer module does not work independently: In addition to the Jaltest Link, you need an active Modular Truck license (293100) or Modular Bus license (293300), or both. From the second year onwards, you keep the module current with the update license (29481); if that expires, the module will be locked.

IMPORTANT NOTES

✕You need an active Modular Truck license (293100) or Modular Bus license (293300). The module cannot be used standalone.

✕The Jaltest Link is mandatory. Without this interface, the software will not start on your computer.

✕The software requires registration every six months, even if your license is still active. If registration is not completed, the software will be blocked.

✕When placing your order, provide the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the comments field; without this number, we cannot activate your license.

Applications and Features

The manufacturer module is an alternative navigation path in Jaltest Diagnostics. This activation unlocks that module; you use it within the coverage of your Modular Truck or Modular Bus license.

What the manufacturer module covers

System manufacturers: Selection via the system manufacturer, such as engine management, brake systems, transmissions and electronics.
Vehicles outside the model catalog: Models that cannot be selected directly by make and model.
Conversions and custom builds: Vehicles assembled from components by different manufacturers.
Within Modular Truck and Bus: The module works within the coverage of the Modular license you have.

What you can do

Select by manufacturer: Go directly to the system without first selecting the vehicle model.
System scan: Display all control units present and identify where faults are located.
Read and clear fault codes: Read fault memory per control unit, including fault descriptions.
Measurement values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real-time while the engine is running or the vehicle is in motion.
Component control: Activate actuators individually to determine whether a fault originates in the component itself or in the wiring leading to it.
Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers for each system.
Maintenance resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.

What you'll need

The manufacturer module cannot be used standalone. Here's the complete setup.

Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on a PC.
Modular Truck license (293100) or Modular Bus license (293300): Active subscription — one or both.
Software activation (29469): This product. One-time purchase, valid indefinitely.
Update license (29481): From year two onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
Diagnostic cables: By brand or system, sold individually or as cable sets.

The manufacturer module is in addition to your Modular license and does not replace it. You cannot use it without an active Modular Truck or Modular Bus license.

💡

Good to know: If your update license expires, the manufacturer module will be locked; your Modular diagnostics itself remains unaffected. If you renew within fifteen days of the expiration date, the new period runs from that expiration date; after that, it begins on the renewal date. Please include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the order notes field.
