This device is designed for the demanding DIY enthusiast or semi-professional user who needs in-depth brand-specific diagnostic capabilities combined with universal OBD2 functionality.
Once registered, the AP200 delivers complete system diagnostics and a comprehensive package of maintenance and service functions for one vehicle brand of your choice, available free for life. For all other brands, the AP200 functions as a full-featured OBD2 scanner, enabling generic engine diagnostics. Operation is handled through the intuitive MaxiAP200 app, making the AP200 a versatile and cost-effective solution for anyone working with multiple vehicles while needing deep diagnostics for a single brand.

Diagnostic Features
The Autel MaxiAP AP200 offers comprehensive diagnostic capabilities, tailored for both brand-specific and universal applications:
- Complete system diagnostics (for 1 selected brand): reads and clears fault codes from all electronic control units within the selected brand, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag (SRS), climate control, instrument cluster, parking sensors and other modules.
- Live data stream: displays real-time data from supported systems in various display formats (numeric or graphical) for accurate analysis of vehicle performance.
- Full OBD2 functionality (for all brands): supports all 10 OBD2 test modes, including reading and clearing engine faults, I/M Readiness (emissions testing), O2 sensor tests and reading vehicle information (VIN).
Maintenance and service functions
For the registered vehicle brand, the Autel MaxiAP AP200 supports up to 19 common service and maintenance procedures, depending on the vehicle model. Some of the most supported functions include:
- Oil service reset: restores the oil and maintenance interval after a service appointment.
- Electronic parking brake reset (EPB): activates the brake system service mode for safe replacement of brake pads.
- Steering angle sensor calibration (SAS): calibrates the steering angle sensor after wheel alignment work or replacement of steering components.
- Battery registration (BMS): registers a new battery and adjusts the charging specifications.
- Throttle body relearning: recalibrates the electronic throttle valve for correct idle control and throttle response.
- Diesel particulate filter regeneration (DPF): performs a forced regeneration to remove accumulated soot from the filter.
- TPMS reset: initializes the tire pressure monitoring system after sensor or tire replacement.
- Injector coding: programs new injectors for precise fuel injection.
