The Topdon ArtiPad I update license is a digital update card that gives users 1 year of access to software updates for their diagnostic device. The license includes a 12-character activation code that users redeem directly in the device's software. During the license period, users can download and install new software versions, expanded vehicle coverage, and additional diagnostic features, keeping the device compatible with newer vehicle models and systems.
After purchase, the update card is delivered digitally to the user. Activation doesn't happen through an automatic server connection—instead, users activate it manually themselves using the Topdon ArtiPad I's companion software or app. Once the code is entered, updates become available on the device and can be installed whenever needed. When the license period expires, already-installed software continues to work normally, but new updates and feature expansions are blocked. A renewal is then required to continue receiving software support.

Serial Number Information
To link and register your license, you may need the serial number of your Topdon ArtiPad I. You can find this serial number in several locations on the device.
- Back of the Tablet: The serial number is printed on a sticker on the back of the ArtiPad I, typically alongside other device information.
- System or Information Menu: Within the ArtiPad I's diagnostic software, you'll find the serial number in the device or system information menu.
